Update on "the Baby"

The best news of the evening is that Daddy has finished one of his classes for the semester! Just a few more finals to go till holiday!

And now for the baby news....
Julz has had the traveling bug since Oct she has traveled and spent the night in Portland, Atlanta, Park City, Boise, Nana's and Gpa's in E. Or, Bountiful, and Salt Lake. In addition, she has been to Seattle, San Francisco, Denver(layovers), Lindon and Ogden. Boy traveling is fun, yet makes you glad to be home. She has been a trooper through all of it and has even kept smiling. I think her favorite trips have been visiting family and meeting cousins, aunts and friends.

She is a pro at sitting when we put her down. And even this week she has been able to get herself into a sitting position from the hands and knees position. As for crawling, she is still lunging forward and almost crawling, (she gets up on hands and feet and rocks sometimes). With rolling and scooting, she is really close to success at getting where she wants to be. In addition she is working on sounds, she mastered the da syllable and has even combined it in succession for dada. (The video is bad lighting, but after a few seconds it is kind of cute.) In context it seems like she knows how to talk. She only says mama when crying. I'm convinced that isn't purposeful. Laugh and say dad, cry and say mom. It's not fair. She has also learned to do raspberries with her lips (sounds like b) and can voice many vowels. She does a funny backward talking thing (breathing in and making a sound) really loud when she wants people to look at her. In fact, she uses most of her sounds to get attention of strangers in the airport, stores and public places because she loves to smile at people and make friends. What a great sport she is.

Julz favorite things to stick in her mouth are her shoes, toes, strings, her new cellphone toy and paper. Also she has started to like chunks in her baby food. Hooray.

She has played in the leaves and decided snow is fun too.

Here is her first snow adventure
