A few changes at home!

The girls got a new facelift to their room. Every morning little engine wakes up she announces to me "I woke up in my new bed". They both love it but we are still working on getting to sleep when sent to bed...not laughing and playing and then getting hurt and crying for over an hour.

The upstairs bathroom now has no carpet! This is a very great excitement in our lives. So it got repainted and new double sink plus white sinks and toilet. We are very excited to have the carpet gone.

Here are some Halloween pictures too. We were a few things. The one you probably cant identify is when little engine is a cloud fairy. Her big sister helped with that costume. They continued through the holidays as a dog, fire-woman, lamb, princesses superhero and a few other people. October has been fun.

Also big sis had crazy hair day at school. She was the only one with moveable and sticking straight out hair. It was pretty great.

Summer 2011

Hooray for summer.
We have packed in the fun and adventures. Camping, Traveling, Visiting, Playing, Gardening, and loads of other exciting events. Here is a really quick picture update of some of our fun.
The best is visiting friends and family. Thanks to all of you we've gotten to visit with recently.

Daddy had a class in San Diego, thus the beach, Disneyland ("dreams come true there" says the oldest girl about every day since) and visits to many friends and family out of Ut.

Hmmm. I think we were trying to be princesses....
The teacup ride. We wish we got a video of the giggles.
This is THE family photo we got with a character. The rest had too many lines.
Camping and river rafting at our family reunion.
We visited the Salt Lake City Temple and had a great time.

I can't get this site to add more pictures so I guess this is all you get for now.

Leftover Salmon

A show we saw on our anniversary.

Front Yard Improvements?

Yes, we are still rednecks and park on our grass.

Can you find the Gnome Be Gone? Check out www.sugarpost.com Fred's stuff is great. Sorry though, this one is custom. If you want one just like it, maybe Fred and I can work out a royalty deal.

We found the rocks in our backyard. A couple neighbors helped us move them to the front. Thanks A and J. Still looking for the burried treasure... Planted wild flowers, maybe a month from now we'll have some more pictures.

Tons of strawberries! Its been fun picking them every day or two.

We added a couple of new features to our backyard this weekend--a garden (well, plots for a garden) and a swing set! Thanks to KSL we found a used swing set. It was is really rough shape, but a few two by fours and some long screws helped out a bit (maybe not a lot). We're going to have to rebuild a bit more in about a year.

Pictures of the farm coming soon...

February is a fun time

As requested I'm posting a few of the changes to the remodel in our downstairs. But these pictures are still in progress pictures. I thought they were the most recent changes till I sat down and started writing this post. But things are already different so I'll have to take more pictures tomorrow.

Hmm, this is before the fireplace was painted and before the cabinets were put in place. And tape is still up where painting isn't done.
With my back to the dining room/fireplace, looking toward the other side of the room.
Here is the new kitchen. Obviously one piece of a cabinets board is out for this picture. Also we added more higher cabinets next to the fridge. We had a good time putting in the tile and choosing the right color for the counter top. If you didn't know, we painted the cupboards black after mixing and matching cupboard styles.
Here is a picture of the painted fireplace. And good dust on the table. Now I can't wait to post what we've changed since this picture was taken.
We also changed the craftroom upstairs. No more dark paneling and the wallpaper is covered over. I didn't realize I haven't taken a finished picture, but now it is cozy to work in and all organized. (except after we've been crafting in there, we really change the way it looks.)
Here are the floor experts. I love soft cozy clean carpets!
We got the floor in the downstairs bathroom and even had some helpers for this task. Thanks Uncle D and Aunt M
If you can't tell, she is sitting on the toilet in the shower. Hmmm. Don't ask....

Okay here are some random pictures of us doing daily things:

Doesn't she look like a good camper?
Having fun outside in our driveway.
Reading before sleeping is definitely a favorite past time around here.
This is a dress that her great Nana made. She wouldn't take it off for a few days.
Little engine likes to dance to a rocking rhythm.
Did someone say there is going to be a flood?
This is the girls on a day that the snow is almost melted.
You mean I'm not supposed to be putting my sister's pjs on inside out?
All dressed up with no where to go.
"I'm doing Yoga. Do you have to interrupt me again?"
curly hair
Heart hairdo

Criss Cross braids.
